Mini rugby spans the ages from 5 to 11 with sides from Under 6 through to Under 12. The youngest age groups start with “tag” rugby where tackles are made by removing a tag. Tackling and other aspects of the game are gradually and progressively introduced with the emphasis on safety and enjoyment. Players play in mixed groups of boys and girls. Our main focus on these age groups is having fun, skills development and making sure all are included.
