3. Mini & Junior Coaching

The club actively encourages parents and guardians to get involved with the coaching of our young players, its both fun and rewarding. The more coaches that we have available ensures that the sessions are fun, active and responsibilities can be shared amongst the team. It is also a great way to spend Sunday morning and we currently have approximately 70 Mini and Junior coaches. If you feel you can contribute but not in a coaching role each age group requires a Team Manager and a Safeguarding Representative.

The RFU is committed to offering a world-leading coaching development service, from helping volunteers who want to coach junior tag rugby on a Sunday morning to assisting people who aim to reach a professional coaching standard. Details of all available courses, inclusive of type, content, duration, and cost, are listed on the RFU website.

All coaches and helpers are required to be DBS checked. The club will contribute to course fees to become qualified both as a coach and as a referee (subject to the individual having registered as a coach with the club and paid their coaching fees) .

If you are interested and would like to know more that please contact the Mini and Junior Chairman - on email (to be updated), Mini and Junior Secretary - on email (to be updated) or the Coaching Co-ordinator - on email (to be updated).
