2. General information


We are delighted to see the return of the Darlington RFC Mini & Junior Festival.

Held over two days, on Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May 2024, the Festival is open to U7s - U15s.

Saturday 4th May: U12s, U13s, U14s & U15s
Sunday 5th May: U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s & U11s and U12, U14 & U16 Girls

We hope the information below will help you prepare for, and enjoy your time at the Festival.

The Festival weekend brochure, including match times, will be uploaded to our website nearer the date of the Festival.

Activities
Bouncy castles.

Ambulance access
Please do not park across / block our ambulance access gate.

BBQs/stoves/fires
BBQs, gas stoves and fires are not permitted on site. Any such items found on site will be extinguished and removed. There is a BBQ stall selling food throughout the Festival weekend and further food outlets on site..

Camping
No overnight camping is permitted.

Defibrillator
On-site defibrillator is located in the clubhouse kitchen (fire escape area).

Dogs
Whilst dogs are welcome at Darlington RFC please consider whether this very busy Festival weekend is the right environment for your dog. Please keep all dogs on leads at all times and clean up after them.

Food and drink
Food (including vegetarian options) and drinks are available in our main bar (in the clubhouse), at our pitch side kiosks, and in our BBQ tent. Cash and card payments accepted.

Gazebos
You are welcome to pitch a gazebo in your age group area for the day. Please keep tent pegs and guy ropes well away from playing areas. Please remove all tent pegs when you leave.

• Pharmacy: Rowlands Pharmacy, Victoria Road, Clifton Road, Darlington, DL1 5JN

Parking (cash / card payment on arrival)

• Coach / minibus – £20 per vehicle. By advance booking only. Please make sure your coach / minibus driver is aware of parking charge. To book a space please contact festival@blackwellmeadows.co.uk
• Cars – £5 per car. First come, first served. Not bookable in advance.

Running order on the day
• Registration: please can a lead member of your age group confirm your team’s arrival at the registration desk located at the main entrance to the clubhouse.
• Matches: start as per timings in the brochure. Please ensure these timings are strictly adhered to.
