Bully can play at either centre-back or right-back. He was born in Northamptonshire, and came up through Northampton Towns Centre of excellence after starting his career at Brixworth Juniors.

Also a keen cricket player, Dolman went on loan to Southern League side Aylesbury United in 2005–06, where he made a real impact. This convinced former Manager John Gorman to recall him at the start of 2006–07.

Liam has shown why he managed to play at a professional level for so long, a superb Captain on the field, shouting out advice and spreading passes across the full length of the field with ease, there are not too many opposing players who willingly go in for tackles when Bully is on the ball!
The Daventry defence has been the one factor which has kept Daventry in the hunt for honours this season; Liam Dolman has been the glue which has helped bind them together!
