In 2002 the President of the club with the support of the RFU launched a series of meetings aimed at recruiting a committee to look at reforming the club. Over the next few months the committee spearheaded by two ex players managed to recruit enough players to form a team. The team entered the Thames Valley Invitational League for the season 2003/2004. Home games were to be played on a school pitch with the use of school changing rooms and afterwards the team enjoyed the hospitality of the local leisure centre.
