An AGM that took well of over an hour last night at Willaston Club as the finer details of the new season took shape during the course of the evening.

Although our relegation was not initially confirmed on the night the league did provisionally vote in three teams with two from Northwich and one from Nantwich. Although one of the teams from Northwich was not in attendance, another option that was voted on was that if the team that did not attend confirm that they would not be joining then the league numbers would change.

So as of earlier this morning the club received an email outlining that the club has indeed been relegated. This meant that the Premier Division would have 9 teams while Division One would have ten teams.

The two new teams Alderman United are from Northwich but will be playing from WInsford Academy while Nantwich Town who perceive themselves as an older team with many former but older Nantwich Town players making up the squad. They will be playing their matches on either main pitch at Nantwich Town, the 3g pitch next to it or a grass pitch.

The league also confirmed that the season would start on Sunday 1st September and also that referee fees would go up to £45 with both teams splitting the cost.

As for ourselves we are still actively looking for new players and we are also looking for friendlies with 3 already pencilled in prior to the start of the season.
