Sam arrived late in the 2016/17 season and was soon a regular for KSB United the following campaign. Part of the successful defence under the stewarship of manager Brett Aspden, Sam formed solid partnerships with both Aspden and Ste Evans. Sidelined for most of the 2022/23 season before returning that summer. Scored a 5-minute hat-trick when also acting as player manager in a friendly against Christian Restoration Manchester.
