Anthony Farrell - Prop

Honours Wales World Cup 2000

Career :
A great servant for Leeds Rhino's after joining in December 1996 and to rugby league in general having played for Huddersfield and Sheffield before coming to Headingley with Gary Hetherington.

"Faz" played in the 1998 Grand Final and the 1999 winning Challenge Cup Final and made 121 25 scoring 23 tries.

Farrell originally joined his home town club of Huddersfield from Moldgreen in 1985 until 1990 when he joined Sheffield Eagles after 68 appearances. Whilst at the Eagles he made 159 appearances scoring 35 tries until 1996. He played for England against France in 1999 but elected to play for Wales in the Millennium World Cup and was part of their heroic journey through to the semi final including a try at the Millennium Stadium in the game against New Zealand.
After leaving Leeds he joined Widnes Vikings where he stayed until a coaching opportunity arose for him closer to his Huddersfield home with Halifax RLC.
