Moldgreen Juniors are always aiming to raise the standards of local coaching, with this in mind we regularly have new coaches attending courses both to gain a qualification as well as to improve on existing qualifications.
We do have some of the best coaches in the area involved with this club but if you are wanting to join our coaching team please contact the club direct.

Who is it for/Course Pre-requisites
This is the minimum qualification for those who run or wish to run rugby league coaching sessions. The course is suitable for parents, volunteers and those with limited experience of the game and coaching. The course introduces good coaching practice and focuses on the development of the core skills of the game.

The course is designed to provide core skills and the knowledge of how to coach and deliver a safe and enjoyable session for players new to the game.

Who is it for/Course Pre-requisites
This is the standard qualification for coaches operating within the community game, at 13 a side and open age, or coaches who have worked as level 1 coaches for two years who now wish to progress. The course is suitable for those with some experience of rugby league and the requirements of coaching. The course focuses and develops the principles of coaching outlined in the Level 1 Coaching Certificate.

The course is designed to further develop the coach and the skills of rugby league and focuses on how to deliver successful and safe coaching sessions.

48 hours Home study/coaching practice
Once you have successfully completed your qualification, you will be licensed to coach for a period of 3 years. The license will only be revalidated after that period if you are able to evidence Continual Professional Development (CPD)
The responsibility for remaining fully and appropriately licensed rests with you, the coach. Failure to meet the conditions of the licence will mean that you will no longer be able to coach although your qualification remains valid. If your licence does lapse, the only way back onto the coaching system is to enrol and complete another coaching course.
