2. 2010 & Beyond

saw the redevelopment of Aussie Rules in Britain. With the formation of more structured regional leagues the Nottingham Scorpions joined the AFL Britain Central & North West Premiership. This 9-a-side competition saw us pitted against our arch rivals the Mozzies and two new teams in Sheffield Thunder and Huddersfield Rams.

saw further league expansion with Birmingham Bears and Wolverhampton Wolverines joining the fray and 2012 also saw the addition of Leeds Minotaurs prompting a league name change to AFL Central and Northern England.

will see the addition of the Tyne Tees Tigers to the CNE league as they look to redevelop the North East league based around Newcastle-upon-Tyne!

saw the addition of Merseyside Saints to the CNE league, showing a growing interest in AFL in the North West of England. However, Birmingham had to fold due to lack of numbers, merging with Wolverhampton.
