Last Wednesday 4th October, the Nuneaton Borough FC X CP Academy First Team had a convincing win in the first round of the AOC Men's Trophy against the Warwickshire Institute of Sport at the First Class Safety Stadium.
A Ryan Ambroise goal gave our academy side the advantage in a first half that they were in control of, before the visitors equalised.
Tactical changes by academy manager, Kyle Storer, enabled them to step up a gear and produce some fantastic goals. Luke Curtlin scored 2, including one from the edge of the box. Tomas Augusta also put his name on the scoresheet with a shot from 30 yards finding the top corner of the net. Ryan Ambroise got himself another goal from close-range to complete a 5 - 1 win.
The Nuneaton Borough FC X CP Academy team are back in league action this Wednesday afternoon at the FCS Stadium, against 433 Academy. Kick off 2pm.
