Ethan Stewart has joined Boro after leaving Nottingham Forest.
A 6’ 3” defender, he progressed through the Forest youth set up at both U18 and U23 level.
Ethan was a regular for Forest Under 23’s during the 2019/20 season.
He joined Alfreton Town on a month's loan deal in March, shortly before the season was ended due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
After capturing his signature Boro boss Jimmy Ginnelly said "I have been busy bolstering the defence this week. Perry Cotton messaged me out of the blue saying he was going back to Atherstone to play his football.
Also, we are bound to pick up a few knocks along the way so we spoke to young Ethan and we’re delighted that both parties could come to an agreement about him joining us at the Boro.
He’s another young lad and can play centre half or right back. He was very highly thought of at Forest but he just wants to be out on that grass playing and learning his trade.
I think this Southern Central League is just the right level for these young lads to come and see what mens football is all about. He needs toughening up and I’m sure me and my coaching staff can oblige with that."
Welcome to the Boro Ethan.
