Peterborough Lions Rugby Club's Development Page 3 of 3

3. Press Release 11.03.15

Peterborough Lions Rugby are delighted to announce they have received two major grants towards the Development of Phase I at Bretton.
£30,000 has been awarded from the Mick George Community Fund, whilst £ 35,000 has been secured from the Augean Community Fund (supported by the King’s Cliffe and Thornhaugh Environmental Associations). This is in addition to monies totalling £21,000 and benefits in kind of some £30,000 that the rugby club has also been successful in securing.
Grateful thanks go to Mick George Limited and to Augean Plc for their Community Funds’ generous support.
These grants have made an enormous difference to the fund raising for Phase I and Peterborough Lions are hoping to start work this summer when the final amounts needed have been secured.

The Lions are extremely grateful to all those supporters who have contributed and are excited about the future for the ground and team at Bretton.

Andy Moore. Chairman of Peterborough Lions Rugby
“I am delighted with the strength of support for the Lions and both I and our Committee have been greatly encouraged with the amounts we have raised in a relatively short time. The financial contribution from the Augean Community Fund and the Mick George Community Fund will no doubt encourage other funders and it is particularly important to us that these are local community funds.”
