Season 2016
2016 was the season that Renfrew Ladies FC won their first ever league title. Completing a league campaign with a 100% win record and scoring 145 goals in the process whilst only conceding 11 was a remarkable achievement. The title was clinched with a tense 4-3 victory over nearest challengers Ayr Utd, with top scorer Claire Rae's last minute free kick, securing the title with four games to spare.
In the League Cup Renfrew Ladies had convincing wins against Bishopton and Granite City Ladies before falling at the Quarter Final stage, losing 4-2 against eventual winners Dundee Utd Women.
In the Scottish Cup 1st round Renfrew Ladies won 4-3 against 1st Division side Cumbernauld Colts after their opponents equalised with just a minute remaining. A wonder goal from Claire Rae straight from the kick off set up a 2nd round match against SWPL2 side Queens Park Ladies at New Western Park. On a day when everything went the way of the home side, Renfrew blew away their higher league opponents in a 5-0 demolition, despite being without their leading scorer. In the 3rd round Renfrew travelled through to Edinburgh to meet Hibernian Ladies and were blown away by the side that would go on to win a domestic Cup double and represent Scotland in the European Womens Champions League.
