After leading 10-3 at half time thanks to a Mark Hoggins try the Oaks were looking good for a second win of the season against local rivals, Mosborough. However, in "wintery" conditions (look at the picture), a second half possession monopoly in Mosboroughs favour led to 3 penalties and a late converted try. Oaks' strength in the scrums and thwarting of the Mosborough maul ultimately wasn't reflected in the scoreline - 10-19.
The home side can take heart from the defensive performance against one of the strongest packs in the league, with stand out performances from several individuals (including a man of the match performance from Tom "The Bearded Wonder" Green).
If performances in the coming weeks match the one on Saturday the Niagara side will feel confident that they can avoid relegation.
