Swadlincote Starlings joined the NWL Netball League in Division 2 after a series of successful friendlies over the summer and a stint in the Burton Summer League Division 3. They played Gracedieu Diamonds on Sunday 11 September 2016 at 12.45pm at Newbridge High School in Coalville and, despite having a couple of new players on board, took control of the game from the 2nd quarter and in the end won 32 goals to 20. A great start to the season. Their 2nd match is on Sunday 18th September at 9.00am.

Swadlincote Swifts have moved up to Division 1 in the NWL Netball League, having finished 2nd in Division 2 last season. They play their 1st match against Bosworth Roses, who had finished 1st in Division 2 last season, on Sunday 18th September at 11.30am at Newbridge High School.

Swadlincote Tornados, a mix of Swifts and Starlings, have entered the Burton Winter League, following a successful summer in the Burton Summer League. Tornados finished 1st in Division 3, with Hurricanes finishing 6th (out of 7).

SNC are having their Start of Season Social on Friday 16 September - Abby has some surprises in store and, as always, is expected to be a fantastic night out.
