Events of the last year have put cricket into perspective and I, for one, having seen the amount of people at training in sub-zero early April conditions, am not alone in having a renewed sense of appreciation for all that cricket Journeymen offers us, on and off the field. I am personally delighted to be back, in what promises to be a very exciting season for the club. We have made some great additions to an already strong 1st team squad.

We will have our flamboyant quartet, Angus, Tom, James and Lewis available and their recent good form will hopefully mean more opportunities for us to be on the winning side. Matt will also be one to watch following a winter at Lords and his early season experience.

With plenty of new, and plenty of increasingly old faces, this is the biggest and best first team squad we have ever had. There will be competition for places, but there will be plenty of opportunity for people to show what they can do. We should be challenging to win every game we play this year. With developments off the field, there has never been a better time to be a Journeymen!
