Your Club Needs YOu!
At the Annual General Meeting. It was reported that the club is in good health and growing:
• We have over 330 players
• We run 29 teams from under 7s to under 16s plus there are the Strikers and Kickers squads
• There are 47 Coaches and Assistant Coaches and most teams have Team Welfare Officers
• We have a great clubhouse and facilities and are fortunate that we have private pitches

It takes a great deal to manage all of this. The coaches are great and step up all the time both on and off the pitch. However, behind the scenes all the things that make the club so vibrant are carried out by a small group of people.

It was discussed at the AGM how the club could be even better, if this group of people could be expanded. Parents and guardians, we are asking for your help.

It could be a couple of hours a week or more if you feel you have the time or just a one off task / project, it will all help the club to continue to flourish. There are some definite areas that the club needs support in,
• Club treasurer
• Events Committee members – to help with the Gala and Presentation Day

Treasurer – to look after the Club’s finances. David has held this position for over 25 years and is looking to step back – there would be a full handover period, probably providing support and guidance over the next 12 – 18 months

Events – our gala has a great reputation but takes a fair amount of work – the more people helping with this can make it easier to host and an even better event.

If the above are not for you, then if you have skills or experience that could contribute then let us know.
• Anyone with a trade – there are always jobs to be done
• Being able / willing to help with opening the clubhouse and keeping it safe when required for the groups who hire it / at training times
• Kit and equipment management / coordination
• Helping out in the tuck shop
• Any of the admin tasks
• Fundraising
