CLUB COMPLAINTS & DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES
COMPLAINTS
In the event that any member feels that he or she has suffered discrimination in any way, or that the Club Policies, Rules or Code of Conduct have been broken, the following procedures should be followed:
You should report the matter in writing to the Club Secretary or another member of the Club Committee.
Your report should include the following:
1. Details of what, when and where the occurrence took place.
2. Any witness statements and names.
3. Names of any other who have been treated in a similar way.
4. Details of any former complaints made about the incident, date, when and to who made.
5. A preference for a solution to the incident.
The Club Secretary will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 7 days to the complainant.
The Club Committee will sit for any hearings that are requested.
The Club Committee will have the power to:
1. Warn as to future conduct
2. Suspend from membership
3. Remove from membership any person found to have broken the Club’s Policies or Codes of Conduct
The Complainant shall receive a report of the Committee’s findings and decision as soon as is reasonably possible
DISCIPLINE
If a club member is found to be in breach of:
1. Club rules / policies or procedures
2. The Clubs code of conduct
3. Bringing the club into disrepute
4. Misconduct that is detrimental to other club members
The committee shall meet to discuss the allegation and agree whether or not to take disciplinary action.
The committee shall meet with the club member to discuss the allegation.
The following measures will apply:
1. Verbal warning
2. Written warning after agreement of full committee
3. Removal or suspension from club activities
