About the team

Welsh Assembly Rugby was established in 2006 to promote the National Assembly, Wales and the sport of rugby union.

All matches raise money in aid of Bowel Cancer UK at the request of the club’s founding AM Glyn Davies who successfully fought the disease.

Our squad brings together politicians, Assembly support staff and Welsh Government officials from across Wales. We play matches against welsh club teams and veteran sides as well as other Parliamentary teams from around the world.
