Wessex is actively seeking sponsors for the club for the forthcoming season 2016 / 2017, in the current financial climate Wessex more than ever require the local businesses help the club to continue to function.

About Wessex RFC.

Wessex RFC is a relatively new amateur rugby club only being 20 years old, we currently have 2 sides a 1st XV and a 2nd XV (Wyverns).

The 1st XV won the regional rounds of the National Vase last season only to by knocked out in the South-West region final away to Longlevens RFC in Gloucester.

Last season Wessex RFC formed a youth section for 8 to 12 year olds.

Wessex RFC have relied on local businesses to help the club survive, in the current financial climate suffice to say and understandably Wessex have lost some of its business sponsorship. Wessex RFC more than ever look to local businesses for sponsorship, we have a turnover of around £16,000 per-season, for which players, family and friends pay a large part in, but they don't have pitless pockets, so hence the need for business sponsorship.
