In this Centenary Year it has been proposed that a Centenary Club be formed comprising 100 members involving a £100 one off donation from each member. This idea was first put forward by Phil Clarke (he has volunteered to be the first member)as a thank you for what the club had done for him and in recognition of the efforts of the many people who have helped to run the club for the last 100 years. It is hoped that other players from the club, who, went on to play professionally, would view it the same way. Also, this is an opportunity for people with an affinity with the club to step forward.
In essesnce it is a limited club of 100 patrons who are trying to ensure that the club is still here for the next 100 years.
The monies raised will be used to purchase a "tangible" item which will significantly benefit the club over the next decade and beyond.
The Management Committee would like to thank Phil for coming forward with this proposal and his financial contribution.
