Ged played 184 games for the Whites scoring 12 times. He brought an awlful lot more
than just good performances to the club. He was a massive influence on the youngsters,
especially Rick Wright. He was a centre half who always had a goal in him also.

He was Player-Assistant Manager to Garry Goddard for the first few years and then
became joint Manager for two seasons with John Wilkinson. One of which saw United
make the first round proper of the FA Cup and produce that magnificent performance
at Walsall.

Current Mangager Wilkinson said, " They were two superb years. We bounced off
each other very well and we have remained firm friends to this day. It was maybe
a good job we were together for a short while because I would be skint by now!"

Ged is now a Roofing contractor in Lincoln, United's Centre-Forward Sam
Wilkinson works with him and Ryan Creane, Ged's son has also played for United
and who knows may yet play here again. He is certainly young enough.
