We had to settle for just a point, in a frustrating evening that saw us score late on.

Harrowby took an early lead as a corner was nodded in from close range in the third minute.

We pushed for an equaliser and came close when Jack Varley ran through on goal. His touch was too heavy and the shooting opportunity was missed.

In the 37th minute Gbolahan Okewoye played a beauty of a through ball to pick out Jack McMenemy. The forward’s effort was kept out by the ‘keeper with a good reflex save.

We reached the break a goal behind after a first half performance that left work to do.

We started the second half strongly, with Elliot Dye volleying over and Gbolahan Okewoye curling wide from the edge of the area.

A good ball from Leo Priestley picked out Jack Varley in the box but the midfielder took one too many touches and was crowded out.

We kept pushing and Leo Priestley whipped a corner to the back post that looked to have been creeping in before it was nodded over by the Harrowby defender.

Tris Drummond found Jack McMenemy at the near post. He headed just wide off the near post in the dying minutes.

We found an equaliser in the 95th minute from a scramble after a good cross from Owen Vincent. Elliot Dye won the first ball and Scott Matthews was on hand to help over the line.

The draw extends our unbeaten run to 15 games.

We go again Saturday, as we travel away to Kimberley MWFC.

Up the Whites.
