This season saw a change at the club in terms of Captain and Vice Captain. Firstly, Steve Crome (pictured right) was selected to take over the captaincy from last season's captain Peter Starr who has taken time away from the game to support his wife and their young family.
To Peter we are duly grateful for your endeavour and hard work with the club and hopefully this will continue in the future, and with that we send our best wishes to you and your family.
Looking ahead it was important to act fast when looking to replace Pete and therefore Rostherne decided to bring to the front of the queue our very own 'piece' of Yorkshire in the form of Steve Crome.
This shy, retiring 20 something athlete brings with him a lot of enthusiasm, tenacity and proud Yorkshire spirit which is hoped will allow him and his players to do something good in 2010.
Steve is a multi talented young man who can bat, bowl and also somehow keep wicket, unfortunately not at the same time.
However, Steve knows the task ahead and is reaching to lead his men in to battle during this current season and in the future.
