The first team and under 23´s keep the momentum going whilst the under 19´s are left to ponder after a hat-full of missed chances

Another lightning start for the first team saw ACFC open up a 2 goal lead in the first 4 minutes with goals from Guille Saldaña Moreno and an own goal from CF Castalla . Igna Aznar Oretga made it 3-0 shortly before the break. ACFC started the second half in much the same way as the first with Guille Saldaña grabbing his second in the 49th minute. If the match had been in any doubt Raymond Duran , who had only just come on as a sub grabbed his first of 2 goals with Jorge Esteve getting the 6th sandwiched in between Raymond's brace. A comprehensive 7-0 win keeping city in the hunt for 3rd place , level on points with local powerhouse Intercity´s b team.

The Under 23ś completed the double over Jijona in another feisty game with city´s calmer heads and higher quality showing through for a comprehensive 3-1 victory which could have been a lot heavier but for some better finishing. In a game which contained 3 penalties the race for top scorer between Dale Dubinsky and Ethan Blakely continues with both dispatching their spot kicks. Local fan favourite Moumtez Senouchi was brought on and scored almost immediately proving a shrewd substitution. The hard work on and off the field of youngsters Michael Raphael and Leon Nyaundi was rewarded with both receiving calls ups from the under 19´s. Both looked comfortable and at home with the 23´s and I am sure we will see them competing again at this level soon enough.

The under 19´s were left feeling deflated having lost 2-0 in a game they should have won. A number of injuries left coach Phil Phillipou with some difficult decisions but if city had taken their chances they would have run out easy winners.

With 2 rounds of games left including a very long away trip to Castellon for the 1st team all 3 teams will be looking to sign off as strongly as possible.

Vamos City.
