Attending were Holy Trinity, Ightenhill, St Joseph's Park Hill & St Mary Magdalene's. Also pleasing was that knowing players were out on inset days at their chosen secondary school, they still returned and played...
The ability on show was great to see, with all 6 matches a pleasure to watch, agility, side steps, ball carried in two hands, off loads, boys and girls in same team, all having fun.
Alongside great sportsmanship as players were lent and also the respect towards the volunteer referees from Burnley RUFC - Howard Metcalf & Martin Churchill.
Thanks again for the participating schools, both children and staff, and moving forward next school year the club are working with Burnley Schools Sports Partnership and therefore if anyone wants to contact Simon and get booked in - September onwards, it's never too soon.
Finally well done the players and parents if your child would be interested in continuing rugby outside school Burnley RUFC would welcome you as we run boys and girls team right through from 6 - 18 years of age.
