Burnley RUFC from September 7th 2016 for 30 weeks will be running a Satellite Club, with the support of Lancashire Sport (Sport England) .Engaging in the community, we will deliver Rugby Union at Shuttleworth College on a Wednesday after school from 3.15pm.

With the aim of attracting new children 11-16 in the Padiham area to have a go at a new sport one hour a week. Then aiming them to link with the local club (Burnley RUFC)Building a partnership saw the children can try the new activity close to their local environment, then hopefully progressing to the community club at weekends and evening.

" Satellite clubs make it easier for young people to stay in sport, or to start playing sport for the first time".

"They provide a stepping stone to a community club or regular participation through the creation of relevant, appealing and convenient sporting opportunities for young people".
