Carluke Tigers 82 - 12 Moray Eels

Carluke Tigers took on RAF Lossiemouth's Rugby League side, Moray Eels, on Saturday the 6th at Hamilton Palace in what turned out to be a very one sided match.

It wasn't, however, plain sailing from the beginning for the Tigers after the Tigers scored their first try, some sloppy play followed allowing the Eels to hit back almost immediately. This spurned some life into the Tigers and they proceeded to play more disciplined Rugby League and before long had ran in five scores, but the Eels hit back with another of their own before half time.

The second half opened with the Tigers coming out all guns blazing, and it wasn't long before Carluke scored their first try of the half after some explaosive work from Craig Simmonds and Paul Beer. An avalanche of tries then followed, with first scores for the club from Gary Strain and Chuckie Cochrane.

In the end it was a fairly straight forward encounter for the Tigers, with many players putting in top performances against an understrength Moray Eels XIII, who had previously slain Fife Lions this season.
