What league do you play in?
We play in RFU league NC South East North
Women's NC 1 South East (North).
Are you competitive?
Oh yes; we play in the RFU leagues and aim to win every game. We’ve got a great squad with a mix of newbies who have just started playing, youngsters who have come through the ranks, and experienced players who know their stuff (and aren’t afraid to share it.) We make everyone welcome.
Who can play for you?
If you are female, over seventeen and want to play a team sport, then you can play.
We’ll give you everything you need - except a determination to be involved; you need to provide that we’re afraid.
Why should I play rugby?
Our main focus at Chesham is that we want people to enjoy their rugby and feel they are part of something special.
Rugby is a multi-skilled team based sport, and is a game with something for everyone. It is totally inclusive for all shapes, sizes, interests and abilities. You can always give it a ‘try’.
You get to keep fit, learn new skills, make friends and have a great laugh. Do you want any more?
When do you train and play?
We train on Wednesday nights from 7pm, it usually lasts a couple of hours. We play our games on Sunday afternoons, and a full season of games is scheduled to keep you busy.
Who is your coach?
Nick Jones is our Head Coach and does a fantastic job at increasing our skills, fitness, and ability to play a fun and exciting brand of rugby.
Do you socialise?
We do indeed, we tour every year and take part in all the club’s formal dinners. We enjoy getting together after games and training, and our away trips are also a great excuse to have a good time.
How long have you been around?
We’ll be starting another season in September, having we’ve been around since 1991, so certainly the longest in Bucks.
