5. Bugby

What is Bugby?

Bugby is an exercise class for pre-school children loosely based around rugby skills. It is a fun way to develop basic skills such as running, jumping, throwing and catching, whilst also learning the importance of team work and communication.

It is non-contact which means there is no rugby tackling.

Where are the sessions held?

The sessions take place in the gym at Chiltern Hills Academy, Chartridge Lane, Chesham, HP5 2RG.

When are the sessions?

Bugby consists of four blocks of 6 sessions during the normal rugby season (September - April).

We train on Sunday mornings.

Under 4s are 10am – 11am
Under 5s are 11am – 12 noon

Which group is my child in?

If your child is in reception at school they will be in the U5 group. If they haven't started school yet they will be in the U4 group.

What do parents do?

Parents are expected to stay for the whole of the session and are actively encouraged to take part. We have found that parental involvement has really helped the development of the children and keeps disruptions to a minimum.

What is the cost?

As Bugby is part of the main rugby club we pay the same annual subscription fees and you receive the same discounts for having more children at the Club. There is a slight reduction for those joining after January (please enquire).

One player - £75 total
Two players - £100 total
Three players - £115 total

We charge £5.00 per trial session, which is deducted from the total subscription if you decide to join the Club.
