Youth Managers - Helpful Information 10 of 12

10. End of Season Procedures - 11/12 Season

Return of Team Kit

When a team's league and cup season is over Managers must collect Club shirts, shorts and sox (sox only if they are in a good state) from ALL players. This equipment belongs to the Club and not to the team or the player. If the team continues to play in friendlies and/or tournaments in the off-season then Managers should hand out the kit at each event. At the end of the event the kit should be collected back by the Manager. If no events are planned for the off season of the Manager is leaving the Club then the kit should be returned to the Club's Youth Secretary. Should any player not return any part of their kit after requests from the Manager then the relevant players name and contact details should be give to the Club's Youth Secretary who will then chase the kit. If a player does not return kit when requested then the Club will bar them from playing for the Club in the future and will write to the League and Surrey FA to request they should be barred from any other football activity.

Off Season Practices and Games

Player subs to the Club only pay for practices and games during the season. Once the regular season is over then should a team wish to continue to practice or play then the Team must directly fund the activities. How this is done is up to the respective teams. Practices can be organised at the Home Ground on the practice area with prior arrangement with the Club Youth Secretary. Teams are encouraged to continue to play including arranging friendlies and applying to play in Tournaments. Up until the end of April it is possible to arrange for friendly games to be played at the Home Ground however this must be confirmed ahead of time with the Club's Pitch Allocation Manager and any costs of officials must be met by the teams playing each other. Should teams enter tournaments then they must take on complete responsibility for all activities involved. The only input from the Club is to allow Managers to use Club kit.

It is expected that should the Club organise an activity like a coaching course or tournament that Managers would go out of their way to support such events by entering their team or attending the event.

Kew AFC Website
After the season is over Managers who are planning to return for the following season can continue to use the Club's Website to keep the Club and Team informed of activities.

Registrations for 12/13 Season

Managers returning for the 12/13 season should communicate with players they wish to have on their team as soon as possible in order to have them signed and registered as soon as possible. It is cheaper for the Club to have them signed by the 31st July and also prevents the player from being able to play for another Club without a Transfer request being agreed to. The registration process for the 12/13 will be dealt with under a separate section for Youth Managers.
