Braishfield's 7 year love affair with Junior 1 was finally ended as they eventually finished bottom of a remarkably close and competitive division and as a result are relegated to Junior 2 for the first time since 1979.The pre-season saw local lad Matt Payne replace the outgoing Colin Plumhoff as manager and his first task was to replace the half dozen players who followed his predecessor to Burridge and although this was soon easily achieved, Braishfield again found the going tough as Junior 1 again consisted of a number of teams playing below their level. This time, despite their best efforts, Braishfield finished bottom and were relegated. In fairness, having to play in exile at Hunts Farm, Timsbury and a series of cruel injuries to key players was a constant hindrance but it is hoped that this is just a temporary step back, one that will benefit the club and with it's fantastic new pavillion will enable us to move forward once again.
